Jane Seymour (c1508-1537) was English king Henry VIII's third wife. When he tired of Anne Boleyn, Jane was the greener grass. She died from medical complications two weeks after the birth of Henry's only legitimate son and heir to the throne, Edward VI. With one of Henry's characteristic bursts of sentiment, he decreed Jane to have been his one true love. Would he have retained that attitude had she lived? Can't be known, but my bet is no.
