This magnet pictures an illustration by HJ Ford from the late 1800s. It appeared in The Lilac Fairy Tale Book by Andrew Lang accompanying a story, The Hoodie Crow that originally appeared in The West Highland Tales. The illustration pictures the farmer's youngest daughter on laundry day, listening to a crow's marriage proposal. Her two sisters had already declined the crow's proposal.
