This magnet pictures an illustration by Warwick Goble from the early 1900s. It appeared in The Fairy Book by Dinah Maria Craik  accompanying the grisly German tale from the Grimm brothers, Juniper Tree (also known as the Almond Tree).

The lovely illustration is rather out of synch with the story. The illustration pictures a little girl, Marjory, watching a beautiful bird that is actually the magical form of her half brother --  who was beheaded by his stepmother, who then tricked Marjory into thinking she was responsible and made a stew of the boy's body for Dad's dinner.  Guilt-ridden Marjory buried her half brother's bones beneath the Juniper tree.  The bird flew about singing, "my mother slew me, my father ate me."  Spoiler: bird kills wicked stepmother, boy comes back to life and they all live happily ever after.  Good grief.
