This magnet pictures an illustration by HJ Ford from the late 1800s. It appeared in The Orange Fairy Tale Book by Andrew Lang accompanying a story, The Fish Girl.
In this illustration the girl is a mermaid. Later in the story she transforms into a deer, and in that form attracts her prince.
