This magnet pictures a famous painting from around 1609 that was stolen from a church in 1969 and remains undiscovered 45 years later. It is known by two names: Navity with St. Francis and St. Lawrence and The Adoration. An Italian artist named Caravaggio is thought to have created it. The thieves removed it from the frame before removing it from the church, then went back to also help themselves to some benches and partitions made of rare woods. With an estimated value in the $20 million range it won't turn up at Sothebys.
