This large sized magnet pictures an 1855 advertisement for the combination rail and steamship line, the Great Northern and Eastern, that moved passengers and freight between Boston and Toronto, with Ogdensburg as the primary connecting point and the St. Lawrence River as the primary waterway.

Ogdensburg, NY is located at the mouth of the Oswegatchie River, a tributary of the St. Lawrence, at the corner of New York, Ontario and Quebec, roughly 60 miles south of Ottawa.
